Ardán, with the support of Galway City Council and Creative Ireland, is delighted to announce the return of the Wild Galway Games Initiative (WGGI) 2023. This returning initiative is designed to unite and support local games developers to connect and collaborate with support from local professional games developers and Galway City cultural representatives.
Over the next few months, we’ll be hosting a series of events that will include an initial WGGI Pitch Meeting later in May, followed by a Feedback & Needs Finding Session, a series of regular Galway meetups, a larger international game dev industry meetup, and a finale for presenting the work.
Games developers who participate in this initiative can expect supports in networking, mentoring, workshops and team meetings as well as city centre desk space, and access to a suite of specialised game development hardware including top of the line laptops and VR headsets.
The aim of this initiative is to simultaneously give an opportunity to local developers to learn, connect, collaborate and be coached by top local game development talent with the goal of improving skills and portfolios in the grassroots game development community of Galway.
We’ll be sharing more information on key dates for the calendar over the coming weeks, via Ardán social media channels, so keep an eye out.
If this sounds like an initiative you’d like to be involved in, please register your interest with sean@ardan.ie and we’ll add you to a WGGI 2023 email list!
