FÍS Games Summit 2025 is the fifth annual event hosted by Ardán, supported by Screen Ireland, Gréasán na Meán Skillnet, IMIRT, TG4, WRAP, Creative Europe Media Desk Ireland, ATU Galway, University of Galway, Northern Ireland Screen, Game Workers United Ireland, our hospitality partners Radisson RED Galway, and our tech partners Sound to Light.

The goal of the Summit is to help foster growth and success in the Irish games development community by providing developers on the island of Ireland with a unique opportunity to engage with talks and presentations that will help them in their own careers.

“The new Radisson RED is all about art, music, culture, and fashion, making it the perfect fit for hosting the annual FÍS TV and Games Summits in 2025,” said Madeline Riley, chief executive of Radisson RED Galway. “We are delighted to partner with Ardán to host these key industry events next year and to show off our state-of-the-art conference and event space at the centre of Galway’s new Crown Square district.”

FIRST SPEAKER ANNOUNCEMENT:

We are excited to be joined this year by Xalavier Nelson Jr., Studio Head at Strange Scaffold.

He also makes strides in a storytelling career outside of games, with releases such as the cult hit comic ‘Sherlock Holmes Hunts the Moth Man’.

Xalavier will be delivering his talk “Don’t Let the B*stards Win: Sustainable Game Development in 2025” and we are looking forward to learning from him!

SECOND SPEAKER ANNOUNCEMENT:

Tom Hall is a former co-founder of id Software, and a veteran game designer/programmer for 37 years. His games such as Commander Keen, Wolfenstein 3D, DOOM, Rise of the Triad, and Anachronox have won many awards and have been enjoyed by millions of players, and his characters and universes live on today. After acting as Senior Creative Director on VR/AR titles at Resolution Games, Tom now works at Romero Games as Design Lead on an unannounced title.

We’ll be announcing more exciting speakers over the next few weeks. Alongside these industry leading Irish and international speakers, throughout the day we’ll also host the IMIRT Games Awards, have a dedicated demo space for game developers, open up some expert roundtables, and offer pitch development one-to-ones.
