The Ardán / RTÉ Short Film Commission, Ireland’s longest running short film scheme – which celebrated 30 years of short film production in 2021 – offers writers, directors and producers the opportunity to produce a funded live action short film of up to 10 minutes. The scheme includes mentorship and guidance provided by experienced industry professionals. 

The 2022 call-out received 50 applications from teams from all over the country comprising Producers / Writers / Directors, and it proved to be a very competitive scheme. 

Ardán & RTÉ are delighted to announce that five scripts have been chosen to interview for the award, and the chance to win the €15,000 to fund a production of their script into a 10-minute short film. 

Interviews will take place in Galway on September 22nd with a panel of industry representatives.
